Jeff Kopman and Hockey Hall of Famer Marcel Dionne know a good deal when they see one. Last spring, the duo was presented with a golden opportunity to purchase Rally Face. They didn’t hesitate.

“We loved the concept,” says Kopman. “We bought the company within 24 hours.”

What exactly had the pair so excited? The patented design of Rally Face, a licensed mask that allows fans to show their team spirit without the hassle of applying their own paint. The Rally Face can be attached to a cap or worn like glasses or simply as a mask.

“It’s perfect for any major event, from a big game to a rock concert,” says Kopman.

Rally Face is already licensed with the NCAA, with more than 20 schools in the fold. Negotiations are currently underway to add the NHL and NFL. Kopman is hoping to have a deal in place for the 2011 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic featuring the Penguins and Capitols. “Everyone at Heinz Field would get a Rally Face,” he says.

The Rally Face is fun for fans of all ages.

Kopman also reports that Rally Face has signed on as an exhibitor for the 2011 Sports Licensing & Tailgate Show. “We’ll have lots of masks on display, including Team Canada and Team USA versions,” he says. “Marcel will be on hand to sign autographs.”

Rally Face is committed to working with retail partners of all sizes on programs that complement the way they do business. For example, the company has secured a manufacturing platform with minimum orders of 1,500 units. “The Rally Face lends itself to fundraising, especially on college campuses,” says Kopman. “It’s a great way for retailers to get involved in their community. Instead of selling chocolate bars for $5, you can sell the Rally Face for $10. It’s a gift that people will always remember.”
